Puerto Rico to San Salvador a Fil-Am couple in the Caribbean | ![]() |
![]() | After 5 days of manual steering of our 47-foot catamaran, from Puerto Rico to San Salvador (Caribbean) we can finally call it a land of refuge after undergoing a rough sail and bad weather. This island claimed to be where Christopher Columbus first set his foot and discovered the Caribbeans, accurate or not...but for us it was a sacred ground of refuge while in transit to other destinations (yes, on our way to Florida!!!). |
We started our sailing trip from St. Maarten, Caribbean, and headed to Florida. Only we got a real tough and rough sail from Puerto Rico to San Salvador. As newlyweds, our trip has helped us build a strong bonding, working through difficult times together and enjoying the wonders of nature where few others are determined to go.
The next plan will be from Florida, coming down to the Caribbean again and passing through the Panama Canal heading to San Francisco visa Hawaii.
